Config Option: Client Approvals

Understand the config option for client approvals.

Overview 

Placements can be blocked from being finalised by a consultant if the associated Client, Vacancy or Project has not previously been approved. The use case for this may be to stop a placement against a client where the finance team does not have all relevant billing details and/or terms have not been agreed. Or a line manager has not approved the vacancy's profitability.
 

To enable this feature, tell us...

1. Confirm the approval route you want each entity to have. You can have several levels of approval and each approval level can be sent to one of the following:
  • User's line manager
  • Manager of the user's primary team
  • A specified team
  • A named individual
2. Confirm the trigger for approval:
  • When a new record is created
  • On request via a button

Considerations 

  • If you are going to use approvals and have migrated data, do any records need to be flagged as approved prior to go live?
  • Do any views need to be created for users to see their outstanding approvals?
