How
Posting a new advert
NOTE: If LogicMelon will not load and/or gets stuck in a loading cycle, click the POP OUT button to open in a new window.
1 Select Advert Owner
There is an initial screen to select which user should own the advert. Pick from the dropdown menu, then click Post Advert.
2 Select Job Boards
Select what user to post the advert as from a drop-down list. Job boards integrated with your account will be available to select from (more than one can be selected) - this may be from Paid Destinations, Agencies, etc. Then click Next.
NOTE: You may be able to post on behalf of another user depending on your security level, but by default this is set to the logged in user.
3 Fill out Details
Information filled in on the Vacancy will copy over to the job advert, saving re-typing. There are 6 sections. Click the bookmarks below for information on each one.
Job Location & Job Information
Job Board Specific Information
Job reference: Pulled from the Vacancy record - must be unique unless re-posting an existing role. Required Field
Job title: Type in manually or typing and you will be prompted with a list of possible options. Required Field
Job Location & Job Information
Location: Either type in manually or select from the drop-down list (which will then pre-populate the County and Country fields). Required Field
Country: Select from a drop-down list. Required Field
County / State: Select from a drop-down list that reflects the selected Country.
Job post code: This field is optional but some job boards only support a full postcode. Click Lookup then the Latitude/Longitude value to view the location in Google Maps.
Type of employment: Only one tick-box can be selected, the type is auto-selected depending on what was set in the Vacancy. Required Field
Full-time/Part-time: Only one tick-box can be selected, the type is auto-selected depending on what was set in the Vacancy. Required Field
Primary Industry: Select from a drop-down list. This drop down is internal, so do not worry if the exact option you’re looking for is not present. Required Field
Secondary Industry: Optionally, select a second industry.
Currency: Select currency from drop-down list. Required Field
Salary range: Enter the minimum and maximum salary range. Required Field
Payment period: Select period from drop-down list. Required Field
Salary benefits: Free-text field, will pre-populate if included in the Vacancy.
Hide salary: Optionally hide salary information. Some job boards do not support the function to hide the salary, hover over the "?" tooltip to view which job boards will support this function.
Optional REPLACEMENT salary description: Over-write the salary with text, hover over the "?" tooltip to view which job boards will support this function.
You can copy and paste from a different location (e.g. a Word document) or edit and format the text within the textbox.
Expand the Job description limits window to view any character or formatting limits for your selected job board(s).
Job Board Specific Information
Fill out the relevant options to ensure the advert shows under the correct categories when Candidates are searching on the job boards.
Each job board may format this section differently. Pay close attention to the assistive text in each text-box before typing. Below is an example of industry selection from a drop-down list and Yes/No questions that can be added to the advert. Other examples include Candidates selecting from multiple choice options, or open ended questions where they have to type a response.
Select to post the job at a future date. You can select a date and time (in half hour increments) up to one month in advance.
4 Confirm details
Before posting the advert the following details are shown:
Posting advert as: Check you are posting the advert either as yourself or on behalf of the correct person.
Job Board: Check the correct job board(s) are selected to post the vacancies.
Post In Future: Another chance to post the advert at a different time other than 'Now'.
If all details are correct, click Finish to publish the advertisement.
5 Awaiting Delivery
This window will appear and will count down from 10 seconds before redirecting back to Mercury, followed by a message that it has successfully been posted.
